How can you get sleep with a new baby?

If you have a new baby, congratulations! You are probably happy, stressed and sleep-deprived all at the same time.
Johns Hopkins sleep specialist Grace Pien [pen] says caring for a newborn can take a toll on getting your all-important rest. She recommends sleeping whenever you can, even taking advantage of your baby’s frequent naps to catch up on your own rest.
Pien also says new parents should try to give themselves a break. Take parental leave if your workplace offers it.
And for those first wonderful, chaotic months, most chores can wait. No one expects your home to be perfect when they come to visit. Bonding with your family and getting your sleep are far more important.
